To raise $1 million for CARE, Eric Harr has undertaken an unprecedented quest — The CARE/Million Dollar Ironman — in which he is striving to break the 9-hour barrier at what is widely regarded as the world’s toughest one-day sporting test: The Hawaii Ironman World Championships. This is no simple feat; a mere 27 people in the world did it last year.
To do this, Eric has hand-selected what he considers to be the finest brands on the planet. There is no room for error with this undertaking.
“This is not some cavalier athletic quest,” says Eric Harr. “Lives are on the line. I am doing this to save lives. I have been in the sport for over a decade, and I have tried and tested virtually every bike out there in my quest for competitive excellence. Never before have I ridden anything remotely close to a GURU. This is a brand at the summit of its art: handcrafted bicycles literally made ‘one soul at a time.’ I will never — and I mean never — ride anything other than a GURU. For life.” [Tune in to Eric’s podcast episode about GURU.]
